General Contract

The Artist, Anne Villano, will create a work of art based on the description provided. The artist agrees to create artwork from information or photo provided by the purchaser in the Artist’s specific style that meets the agreed upon description. THREE to FIVE sketches will be provided to the purchaser for approval before moving to the final canvas. 

The artist will provide ONE photograph of finished product before shipping (always free shipping) for the purchaser’s final approval. This image will be emailed to the purchaser for approval. Once approval is given by the purchaser, the Artist will ship final artwork to the purchaser.

Payment Schedule

A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required before the artist begins working on the commission and is due upon signing the contract. The balance of payment is due upon satisfactory completion of the artwork described above.

Delivery:

The Artist agrees to complete and deliver the commissioned artwork on or before the following date. In the event the artist cannot deliver the commission or the purchaser cannot pick it up, the commission, purchaser agrees to pay all necessary shipping expenses. 

Copyright:

The artist retains the copyright to all works commissioned by the purchaser including all reproduction rights and the right to claim statutory copyright. No artwork may be reproduced or altered without the consent of the artist.

Right of Refusal:

In the event that the purchaser does not wish to purchase the commissioned artwork, the purchaser may refuse. In that case, the artist will retain the refused artwork and the non-refundable deposit. This is free of any claims or interests of the purchaser and the purchaser will not owe any additional fees to the artist. 

Returns:

There are no returns once the Purchaser takes possession of the artwork. 

I give the artist, Anne J. Villano, permission to use photographs of my commissioned artwork in any upcoming promotions to include print, website, and social media designs.
